Hardware In The Loop

In the automotive industry, the term hardware in the loop (HIL) refers to a test scenario in which test components are integrated to a simulated application environment. The various components are wired to each other and steered by test software. As a result, data is collected in the first step in order to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the tested components in the simulated environment.
