Software in the Loop

Software In the Loop (SIL)-Simulation links part of the software with a simulation of the surroundings. Contrary to the HIL-Method, direct communication of the coupling does not occur through electric interfaces, but through software interfaces. The main advantage of the SIL- Method is the possibility to apply it early. Tests can already be performed before the hardware is introduced.
